Innovation & Strategic Design Internship
Are you passionate about solving human problems, creating meaningful change, and eager to kick-start a career that leverages strategic design and innovation principles?
Our Strategic Design Intensive is a part-time internship program -structured over a 2-3 month period, designed to introduce you to the real world application of strategy, design thinking and innovation.
Working alongside industry experts on live projects, you will gain invaluable experience in a hands-on environment, with a personal project piece that allows you to put your learnings into practice. With one-on-one mentorship and guidance throughout, we encourage you to observe, question, explore and learn from new perspectives.
No two days will be the same, and you will actively contribute to projects by conducting and presenting research, assisting with consumer insight gathering, participating in client workshops, ideation sessions, and output delivery. While also benefiting from a series of specialised training sessions.

Joining a tight-knit team of strategic and creative thinkers, you will be working in a hands-on environment across both client and personal projects.
Throughout the internship your day-to-day responsibilities will give you a first hand glimpse into the practical application of strategy, design, innovation, and client management.
On completion of the internship you can expect to have:

To ensure you get the most out of our program, you will be paired with an experienced mentor who will guide you from day one, and is committed to helping you learn and grow. With regular scheduled check ins, you will receive constructive feedback, have ample opportunity to question and tap into a wealth of knowledge. We believe in investing in your development and helping you build a strong foundation for your future career.
Over the duration of the program you will receive training across four key modules, designed to help develop your design thinking and innovation capability while improving confidence in practical application.

Innovation Methods
Unlocking Creativity: Principles & Techniques
Managing Complex Projects

Each placement runs across a 2-3 month period.
The elected days will be discussed upon application, usually remaining the same week to week, and are based on current project requirements, while also taking into account outside commitments such as university or other work.This is a paid program, and all successful candidates will be remunerated $200 per day, pro rata.

The Strategic Design Intensive is best suited to final year students or recent graduates who are eager to learn, and embrace an innovation mindset.
Recently graduated or currently enrolled and completing your studies within the next calendar year
Relevant study areas include Creative Intelligence & Innovation, Design, Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, Technology
Genuine interest in or appetite to learn about human-centred design, strategic design and innovation
You are a creative and critical thinker
Most importantly, you approach your work with a sense of curiosity and eagerness to learn
